FPJ Apero at the Awaji Forum 2023 

On September 4, 2023, LIAISON supported the Fondation Pasteur Japon (FPJ) and the Embassy of France in hosting an Apero at the Awaji Forum 2023 held at the Prince Hotel in Karuizawa, Japan. All 200 participants at the forum were invited to participate, and Dr. Anavaj Sakuntabhai, Executive Director of FPJ, made opening remarks regarding upcoming activities at the FPJ. 

The Apero was held after the presentations by some researchers. The participants toasted and expanded their networks. There were some posters on research in the corner of the room. The topics were quite diverse, but most of them were related to infectious diseases. They emphasized the importance of global cooperation to prevent these diseases from spreading or develop new vaccines and medicines. We hope that this event could be a further step to achieve the missions above.
