We are thrilled to announce the details for our upcoming February session of the Pasteur English Immersion Club (PEIC)! As always, our aim is to provide a platform for international college students to delve into cutting-edge scientific research while enhancing their English proficiency.

🗓 Date & Time: February 29th, 17:00-18:00 Japan time

🌟 Guest Speaker: Dr. Sébastien Boyer

• Position: Head of the Medical and Veterinary Entomology Unit at the Institut Pasteur du Cambodge (IPC), member of the Pasteur Network

🔬Research Paper: Host-Feeding Preference and Diel Activity of Mosquito Vectors of the Japanese Encephalitis Virus in Rural Cambodia

• Please read the above research paper and prepare any questions you have (2-3 questions) for Dr. Boyer before the session.

🕗Session Format:

• Introduction: (~5 min)

• Get to know the other members and Dr. Boyer.

• Presentation: (~10 min)

• Dr. Boyer will give a brief presentation about his background and introduce the research paper he has chosen (the details of the paper are in the “research paper” section above).

• Q&A Session: (~30-40 min)

• This is your chance to engage directly with Dr. Boyer and ask him any questions you may have. Please prepare questions you may have in advance!

• Closing Remarks: (~1-2 min)

• We'll wrap up the session with any final thoughts and announcements.
