Global Health Ideathon 2021
How do we prepare our societies against future pandemics while improving and ensuring healthcare access to all?
This Summer, we are hosting the "Global Health Ideathon 2021" and inviting students from all over the world to join an international community to learn, discuss, and ideate solutions to support global efforts in pandemic preparedness. The event will be an opportunity to challenge ourselves to think about global health issues in this Covid-19 era and discover innovative solutions. THEME:
・Main Theme: Pandemic Preparedness and Healthcare Access
- How do we make our society more pandemic prepared while ensuring healthcare access to all?
- Pandemic Preparedness:
The process as well as the ability of planning, exercising, revising, and executing pandemic response plans.
・Sub-themes: How to make a pandemic response plan regarding one of the following
- Constituents of a Pandemic Response Plan:
A) Disease Surveillance (situation monitoring and assessment)
B) Access to Healthcare / Healthcare Delivery (health system response)
C) Medication Development / Vaccine Development and Delivery
D) Risk Communication / Prevention / Behavior Change (e.g. masks, etc)
E) Business / Economy: Non-pharmaceutical intervention (lockdown policies, etc.)
F) Governance and Policy / International Cooperation
* One group will focus/work on one of the six topics above during the three-week Ideathon.
